Porsche 911 Carrera S comparison with Assetto Corsa  in Mixed Reality

YouTuber Marcel Pfister is a famous YouTuber who is merging videos virtual environment experiences with Assetto Corsa via a Virtual Reality headset and  real life driving.

he says :

First I have to thank Kunos Simulazioni, the developers of Assetto Corsa that they have invited me to their Porsche Event at Vallelunga.

So you may have already recognized it, I drove both, the real Porsche 911 Carrera S and the virtual one in Assetto Corsa.

The Event was at Vallelunga Circuit in Italy near Rome and it was a lot of fun of course.

If you are not familiar with my videos you may ask yourself what you see on the right side of the video. It´s Mixed Realty, that means i brought together the in-game view and the reality where you can see holding my real wheel.

This all is done in post production with video editing software. So in short I used a green screen and some video editing software to lay it together afterwards.

What is Mixed Reality?

It´s a way to record and show gameplay to serve a better understanding of how it feels to use Virtual Reality. It uses a greenscreen to later blend out the room you are playing in and instead blending in the virtual environment life or in video editing.

So it´s only a way to show to the viewers, while playing i can´t see my wheel and real hands. So it´s not like Augmented Reality, which will maybe come in a few years and will look similar.
