Sharing the Light: 1,000 Solar Lanterns to Vietnamese Villagers
When a village is remote enough to lack electricity, inevitably the location will be, though eco-friendly, isolated from urban areas.
Samsung’s Share the Light campaign has been going on for 3 years since 2017.
Each year, in conjunction with the Earth Hour event, Samsung joins the efforts to protect the environment through the reduction of carbon emissions by turning off the lights at its workplaces around the world, and delivers thousands of solar-powered rechargeable LED lanterns to low-power countries, purchased with saved electricity bills and employee donations and assembled by employees.
In 2019, Samsung delivered a light of hope to Vietnam’s Chieng noi village and to Malawi, Africa.
Our darkness becomes the light of others through the Share the Light Campaign
